Paul Cain – Managing Director
Paul has been a bookkeeper for 20 years and during this time has developed his knowledge of various businesses. He formed PCBS in January 2005 and the company has now assisted over 60 clients. Paul has gained membership into the Institute of Credit Management (ICM) and the International Association of Bookkeepers (IAB).
Paul is responsible for overseeing operations, attending networking events and consultations, agreeing costs, PCBS internal bookkeeping, completing initial client backlog and the setting up of systems. Preparing the management reports for clients, as required and attending ‘demonstration and explanation of figures’ meetings. Internal bookkeeper training to ensure PCBS ethics and continuity are maintained and other staff training as and when required.
Julia Smythe – Manager
Julia joined PCBS in April 2007. Her previous experience within companies like The Economist Magazine and Croydon Advertiser, where she sold advertising space has enabled her to develop her role as PCBS’s Manager and she has been instrumental in the continued growth of the business.
Julia has put in place various procedures and policies that have helped speed up operations for the company but her main role is marketing and networking. Julia’s friendly persona and face have become well known within Croydon as she regularly attends networking events organised by Croydon Chambers of Commerce, South London Business and the Best of Bromley & Croydon on behalf of PCBS.
Marketing is something that Julia has really got her teeth into and she has been heavily involved with the construction of the PCBS website and is also responsible for publishing the Blog.
Nicola Daniels – Administration Asst
Nicola joined the company in May 2011 and is responsible for general office administration, answering incoming calls, organising client folders including front sheets and terms of business, sending out client packs, PCBS invoicing and emailing out, marketing assistance, flier drops, collection of documentation from clients.
Darren O’Gara – Junior Bookkeeper
Darren joined the company in July 2011 after wanting to work in bookkeeping. Since joining the company he has proved to be a valuable addition to the team.
He is responsible for several clients and has proved to be proficient in all aspects of bookkeeping, Sage and Excel.
